Immediate need for a Paralegal – 2-month contract

The Opportunity

Our client in downtown Calgary is seeking a Paralegal to help support their VP Legal and Corporate Secretary for a 2 month term. If you adapt well and thrive in a fast-paced environment this could be the role for you!
Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Record maintenance – Minute books, data sheets, annual returns, etc.
  • Data entry – such as legal bills.
  • File creation and maintenance.
  • Regulatory filings.
  • Preparing and collecting electronic documents for discovery.
  • Prepare bills of sale and pay-out forms.
  • Expense reports.
  • Additional Admin support as required.

  • Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Post secondary diploma or certificate in legal administration.
  • Min. 5 years legal administrative assistant experience in corporate and securities.
  • Strong MS Office skills.
  • Experience with TSX, and SEDI, Stockvantage, Legal Tracker and Concur would be considered an asset.
  • Personable and professional.
  • Strong multi tasker with superior organizational skills and high attention to detail.
  • Excels working alone as well as in a team environment.
  • Must be adaptable to changing priorities and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Superior communication skills.
