The Opportunity

Our Calgary oil and gas client is seeking a Paralegal professional for a contract term.  This role reports into the Vice President General Counsel and the Corporate Secretary and would be providing support to the Legal department. Superior attention to detail and organization skills required!

Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Provide Paralegal support to the legal team, other customers and client group with the company, VP of General Counsel and Secretary and to the Board of Diretors
  • Scheduling and calendar management for VP and Secretary.
  • Regulatory and statutory corporate and securities filings.
  • Monthly filings with the TSX.
  • Filing.
  • Minute book maintenance.
  • Scheduling, compensation and expense reports for the Board of Directors.
  • Run reports

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Post-secondary diploma or certificate required
  • Must be a member of the Alberta Association of Professional Paralegals
  • Commissioner of Oaths for Alberta
  • Ability to handle and be responsible for extremely confidential information
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written
  • Thrives in a team environment but also works well independently
  • Must be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Proficient with MS Office
  • Superior attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Polished and professional demeanor
  • A great attitude!
