Great permanent opportunity for a Payroll Clerk in South Calgary!

The Opportunity

Our client is looking for Payroll Clerk and the ideal candidate will have their PCP certificate.
Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Process bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees in accordance with established policies, project conditions and procedures
  • Enter timecards for employees, this includes daily posting, approving and reconciling
  • Responsible for tracking and reconciling vacation accruals
  • Respond to general inquiries on payroll and vacation related matters from employees and performance leaders
  • New hire forms and file management
  • Journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Union dues
  • Review and monitor payroll reports for data integrity, accuracy and completeness
  • Responsible for preparing weekly, bi-weekly and monthly reports as requested
  • T4 reprints and readdresses
  • ROE administration

  • Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Canadian Payroll Certification an asset
  • Minimum 3 years payroll experience
  • Ability to work independently
  • Previous experience with a system implementation is an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with intermediate to advances abilities in Word and Excel
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering data
  • Ability to work under pressure when dealing with tight deadline, and highly confidential and sensitive information
