Are you a process-driven person with a good eye for design?

Good for starters, …now can you also research new properties, coordinate the design process, calculate return on investment, source suppliers, work to specifications and be the ‘go to’ person for the completion of multiple projects simultaneously?

Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Process control and improvement
  • Research marketplace for emerging trends and design influences
  • Research market to directly influence choice of building design, mix, pricing, etc.
  • Source sites, evaluate competitive offerings, assess inventories, absorption rates, etc.
  • Research building styles and materials to maximize ROI, determine best use for location
  • Execute due diligence required before committing to locations
  • Develop vision for property. Develop RFP’s for principal consultants (architects, geotechnical, etc.), meeting with suppliers/consultants off-site as needed
  • Coordinate initial design concepts with stakeholders, establish design criteria
  • Develop preliminary block plans, site layouts based on by-laws and covenants
  • Develop and submit development applications and notices
  • Assist the Development Manager to liaise with municipal authorities and reconcile approval processes
  • Act as first point of contact for any site development issues, queries
  • Work with internal departments to coordinate construction details and determine efficiencies
  • Participate in sunset reviews to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements
  • Coordinate throughout planning and construction to ensure consistency with design vision
  • Answer client questions as they relate to design, planning, materials, etc.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Interior Design Certificate, Junior Architect, Architect Technician designation
  • 3 years of related work experience
  • Exceptional organizational, administrative and communications skills
  • Ability to maintain professional demeanour under stressful work conditions
