The Opportunity

My client is looking to bring on a highly skilled Production Technician for their Edmonton team. The Production Technician will be responsible to perform assembly and test procedures on all FFIT and RFIT, and complete checklists for STD orders in an accurate and timely manner.

Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Locate and transport all the required components to the assembly area: Actuator, Gearbox, Adaptions, Valve, Control package.
  • Perform an immediate visual inspection of all components to verify they are correctly identified and there is no apparent damage that would prevent assembly.
  • Components will be assembled together in accordance with engineering drawings and/or standard operating procedures.
  • Upon the completion of assembly, the actuator will be operated to confirm: open and close limits are set, safety features are enabled, data loggers are reset.
  • Record assembly and test results on the appropriate reports.
  • Report any problems that may have been encountered during the process.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong experience and education in Instrumentation or Live Electrical equipment.
  • Able to read and understand electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Must be able to lift weight up-to 75lbs.
  • Good product knowledge of the following: Electric Actuators – IQ, IQT and Q and RFS Actuators – Skilmatic, EH, all H and P range.
