An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced HR Specialist with our client located in west Edmonton!

The Opportunity

Our client requires an experienced HR Specialist for a temporary to possible permanent opportunity.  The primary focus of this position will be assisting the HR team in providing support for all Human Resource related functions.

Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Full cycle recruitment; prepare and post job opportunities, screen resumes, conduct pre-screens and interviews and create job offers.
  • Conduct employee onboarding activities.
  • Assist in development of new HR programs & practices.
  • Update internal documents and manuals; track recruitment and retention data
  • Respond to employee inquiries and concerns; generate employee letters
  • Provide administrative support to the Corporate Services team as required.
  • Assist in conducting salary reviews and complete compensation surveys.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of related experience.
  • CHRP considered an asset,
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of current HR Practices and procedures.
  • Strong speaking skills; ability to facilitate new hire orientations.
  • Post secondary with an emphasis on Human Resources.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary will be based on related experience and will be in the range of $31.00 – $35.00 per hour on a temporary basis.
