The Opportunity

One of Canada’s top distributors of heavy equipment, parts and accessories to the construction and mining industries, has a great entry level opportunity in their Edmonton Branch. The company is small enough to feel like a family run organization, but large enough to be a major player in the industry. As the PARTS Coordinator, you will be supported by empowering managers, who will provide you with the opportunity to work hard and develop your career into sales or operations. As an important member of the team, you can help focus on continuing the development and the deepening of client relationships. You will be stepping into a well evolved branch with established relationships, yet there is still opportunity for tremendous growth.

Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Respond quickly and efficiently to Parts enquiries.
  • Prepare quotes on new and used Parts for customers and the sales team.
  • Liaison with service department to support sales.
  • Support inventory control management.
  • Record and input sales for the sales department.
  • Maintain the customer list.
  • Conduct sales department marketing; including, but not limited to: print ads, mailers, flyers, social media, and email blasts.
  • Maintain accurate manufacturer ordering programs and related discounts.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Great opportunity for a 1st or 2nd year Parts Apprentice.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience Heavy or Compact Equipment is preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills with exceptional Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Power Point.
  • Experience with ERP and CRM software programs is considered an asset.
  • Strong desire to strive for customer service excellence.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly refined organizational and planning abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with a wide variety of personalities and build relationships across the organization.
  • Must be creative, quick learner, self-directed and self motivated, and have a proven ability to practice sound judgment in making decisions, while working independently.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base of $40k-$55k per annum plus a possible performance bonus.
  • A comprehensive benefits package will be provided.
