The Opportunity

One of our clients has a great opportunity for the right person as a Senior Manager to support the growing Assurance and Accounting needs of their busy Vancouver office. The Senior Manager, will have the opportunity to lead and execute engagements of various sizes, mentor future leaders and advise clients in various different industries. The successful candidate will be expected to lead by example, and have a combination of technical, interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills. This will be a progressive position with opportunities of advancement and specialization in areas of interest to the selected candidate.
Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Provide project management leadership and technical support to team members for assurance and non-assurance engagements (audits, reviews, compilations, special reporting, etc)
  • Detailed review of assurance and non-assurance engagements to ensure professional standards are met
  • Assist in the development and delivery of practical business advice for clients
  • Preparation on a timely basis of financial statements and tax returns in accordance with company standards for clients in a variety of businesses and non-profit enterprises
  • Auditing financial statements of business clients as a team member or audit senior
  • Effective communication with company clients and with different partners and staff
  • Providing guidance and mentorship to other staff members
  • Develop and build on new business opportunities with existing clients, as well as prospecting new business opportunities

  • Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Professional designation is required (CPA, CA, CGA, CMA)
  • A minimum of three years of public accounting experience including auditing and the preparation of personal and corporate tax returns
  • Leadership ability with previous management experience
  • Strong Business development acumen
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Solid oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks

  • Compensation and Benefits
  • A base salary of up to $80-95,000 and a competitive benefits package will be offered to the successful applicant.
