Our Commercial Construction client is looking for a Sr Project Coordinator for it’s Calgary location!


The Opportunity


Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Sr Project Coordinator is responsible for leading the Project Coordination team, and assisting the Project Managers to execute projects.


Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Prepare bid forms and obtain tender submission documents as required by the contract documents for review by the project manager
  • Set-up new projects in the company database, obtain all relevant data and documentation from the client to allow the work to commence
  • Prepare and distribute change notices, site instructions and RFI’s to the sub trades and suppliers
  • Assist the Project Manager to prepare estimates and budgets
  • Prepare tender invitations to solicit sub trades and suppliers to submit quotations
  • Assist in the closing of tenders, collection of quotations for the review by the Project Manager, delivering the tender documents as required by the contract documents
  • Prepare contact documents if required for the review and execution by the Project Manager
  • Prepare award letters for the sub trades for review and execution by the Project Manager
  • Attend project meetings with the Project Manager, prepare and distribute meeting minutes when required by contract
  • Assist the Project Manager to prepare project execution schedules using Microsoft Project
  • Prepare and collect information for Operation and Maintenance Manuals as required under project contract

Required Skills and Qualification

  • 5+ years of project execution within commercial construction and document control required
  • Exceptional computer skills: Microsoft Suites (Excel, Word, Project)
  • Analytical skills in collecting and organizing statistical data; analysing, maintaining accurate records
  • Strong communication skills for liaising with internal and external personnel
