The Opportunity

They are looking for a Senior Property Manager with a diverse skillset overseeing retail, office and industrial properties. Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Follow through with all leasing administration and make sure the rent collection and operations are completed on a timely basis.
  • Oversee the management and operation of a list of retail, office and industrial properties.
  • Produce operating contracts and prepare annual operating and capital budgets.
  • Communicate with brokers on the leasing of vacant space and produce lease documentation for both new and renewal leases.
  • Coordinate the build out of tenant and capital improvements as they come up.
  • Provide monthly management and financial reporting.
  • Maintain communication with staff, tenants, support personnel, contractors, leasing agents, senior management and owner’s representatives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with tenants through regular visitation and communication as well as inspections.
  • Implement and follow through with asset programs and property inspections.
  • Direct and guide your team to ensure client and tenant satisfaction.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience managing retail, office and industrial properties.
  • University degree or post-secondary education in related field.
  • RECA license to trade in real estate and manage properties Province of Alberta.
  • RPA or CPM License considered an asset.
  • A vehicle with a valid Alberta Driver’s License as well as a clean driver’s abstract.
  • Solid understanding of building structures, plant maintenance and operating systems.
  • Project management experience is considered an asset.
  • Working knowledge of legislation which impacts commercial real estate.
  • Knowledge of leasing principles and strategies as well as budgeting in excel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills including performance management, leadership, as well as employee and tenant relations.
  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge in accounting procedures and account reconciliation.
  • Organizational skills, detail orientation, and managing a portfolio with different demands and deadlines is required.
