The Opportunity

One of Canada’s top distributors of heavy equipment parts and accessories has a great opportunity available within their Edmonton Branch. The company is small enough to feel like a family run organization, but large enough to be a major player in the industry. You will be supported by empowering managers and will enjoy going to work every day. They provide a compensation structure that will give you financial stability so that you can focus on the needs of your clients. You will be stepping into a well evolved territory with established relationships, yet still presents the opportunity for tremendous growth.

Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Key account management with a focus on relationship longevity and productivity
  • New business development including identifying opportunities and building new relationships within Northern Alberta
  • Attending networking and marketing events within the construction, mining and road building industries throughout Northern Alberta
  • Provide lunch and learns where needed and being a technical resource to your clients
  • Spearheading and taking ownership of client/customer service challenges with a focus on providing client service excellence
  • Quarterly budgeting and ongoing weekly sales reporting

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Success selling Heavy Equipment and/or parts and accessories for a minimum of 5 years
  • Proven technical knowledge of construction equipment including parts, undercarriage, buckets and accessories used by the construction, mining and road building industries
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
  • 25% – 35% overnight travel required within Northern Alberta

Compensation and Benefits

  • Remuneration package will include base salary of $80,000 – $90,000 + commission targeting $100,000 – $120,000 or more
  • Vehicle allowance
  • Full and comprehensive benefits package including pension plan
