The Opportunity 

An intriguing opportunity with a prestigious homebuilder with an impeccable 40-year reputation, the Vice President of Operations will work directly with the President on managing the day to day operations.

Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Work closely with President and senior management to coordinate build times & resolve any outstanding construction items
  • Oversee field staff in their daily operations, and update on construction status
  • Provide evaluation of subcontractor performance
  • Review all work in process to ensure compliance with plans and specifications, building codes and company standards
  • Manage building schedules to ensure on-time deliveries
  • Oversee projects with President and those responsible for quality control, quality assurance, and OH&S standards
  • Mentor and develop construction personnel to ensure maximum development
  • Review and recommend improvements to both existing and proposed designs
  • Responsible for obtaining all necessary red-line information to plans
  • Reviews and approves all contractors invoicing for work complete and best possible value
  • Responsible for the appearance of all communities, models, and spec homes.?
  • Visit job sites to review current construction
  • Contribute the marketing strategies, and overall customer experience.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Must have 10+ years of experience in the residential construction industry with proven successful leadership track record.
  • Related post secondary education is preferred or a combination of experience and a trade certificate.
  • A strong eye for detail is required to be successful in this position
  • Excellent communication required
  • Able to read and review residential blue prints
  • Valid Class 5 License
