Our south-side client is seeking an Investment Assistant for a Maternity Leave coverage. If you have direct industry experience and are very client service focused, then we want to hear from you. Offering great hours and a small team atmosphere, this might be your next place to call home!
The Opportunity

Responsible for supporting the small team, responsibilities include:
Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Maintaining/organizing client files (paper and electronic.) and corporate database.
  • Preparing files and client proposals for upcoming meetings (insurance/investments.)
  • Processing new applications (Life, Disability, Critical Illness, Annuities, Universal Life, etc.) and managing the application process and follow up.
  • Handling client requests and correspondence concerning policy changes, personal information etc.
  • Liaise with MGA or insurers directly to finalize contracts.
  • Prepare weekly progress report and other administrative duties as required.

Required Skills and Qualification

  • Knowledge of the financial industry and insurance providers an asset.
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet tight deadlines.
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Analytical nature with the ability to see the bigger picture.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
  • Thorough understanding of individual life, disability and critical illness insurance products.
  • Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary range for this position is approximately $50,000 plus per year; based on skills and experience.
