The Opportunity

Our downtown Calgary client is looking for a professional, hard-working, and driven Legal Assistant with 5 or more years of legal experience. In this role, you will be supporting two excellent lawyers, thus attention to detail and an ability to multitask are essential.

Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Drafting, proofreading and editing legal documents.
  • Dicta-typing.
  • Scheduling and calendar management for two lawyers.
  • Travel arrangements.
  • Client invoicing.
  • Online searches.
  • Booking trials and long chambers applications.
  • Communications between clients and opposing counsel.
  • Prepare applications records from the materials filed.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Legal Assistant Diploma is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience.
  • Experience using PC Law and Eclipse would be considered an asset.
  • Strong MS Office and typing skills.
  • Polished and professional.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Superior organizational skills and a strong attention to detail.
  • Adaptable.
  • Must work well with deadlines.


Compensation and Benefits

  • A comprehensive benefits package will be provided. Salary is negotiable depending on experience.
