Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

Reporting to the Vice President, you will design, develop and implement the organizations first major gifts program. This new position will be responsible for identifying new prospects and cultivating relationships with them, as well as stewarding existing donors.
Responsibilities to include:

  • Develop and execute fundraising efforts while communicating fundraising goals throughout the organization
  • Assist our donors in meeting their personal philanthropic goals by creating positive and meaningful relationships with them
  • Maintain long-term relationships with existing donors. Manage a portfolio of donors and prospects
  • Acknowledge major donors through public and private recognition
    • Lead the production of special letters, gift acknowledgements, and other communications with major gift donors
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure efforts are aligned
  • Create monthly, quarterly and annual fundraising reports, analyze trends and identify opportunities for future growth
  • Other tasks as they relate to the day to day activities

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Min. 3 – 5 years of non-profit fundraising experience or equivalent
  • Diploma/Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related discipline
  • Proven ability to secure individual and major gifts with achievement of objectives
  • Experience using a donor database, prospect research and other wealth screening tools to aid in the management process
  • Experience in handling confidential or personal information in accordance to the guidelines and practices of Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong writing and communication skills and excellent organizational skills

Compensation and Benefits

  • Comprehensive benefits package
  • Salary range is $90,000 plus; based on skills and experience
