About the Role

  • Partner with our Stoppler Hughes team by identifying human resources and organizational development issues and lead the analysis and diagnosis of client needs;
  • Provide day-to-day delivery of HR services and organizational support to our clients through design, development and delivery of tailored HR solutions in the areas of employee relations, labour relations, training and development, performance management, continuous improvement, best practices that influence HR strategies, policies and procedures, facilitating and/or supporting recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, labour relations, leaves of absence and termination needs;
  • Educate client leadership teams and team member populations on employment practices, including personnel actions, benefits, salary/compensation guidelines, performance review processes, performance rating process and promotions;
  • Partner with clients in the administration of attendance management programs, early and safe return to work programs, workers compensation and disability leaves;
  • Provide coaching and consultative support to clients on leadership development, talent and performance management, change and people management issues
  • Consult with our team and clients’ managers, team members and other HR support functions to proactively address team member and client employee relations issues;
  • Participate in ongoing HR initiatives and projects to enhance HR services to our own business and those of our clients;
  • Partner with client management teams to continually evaluate and develop all team members within our clients’ organizations and work on value-added programs in areas of training, development, retention and job performance;
  • Other related duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.


About You!

  • You have five (5) or more years of relevant Human Resources experience in a Generalist role;
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources with preference for a CPHR or another Human Resources Professionals Association designation;
  • You are a seasoned practitioner who is able to work with minimal supervision;
  • You have the ability to partner with our team members and clients to propose appropriate solutions and creative ideas;
  • You are a team player with a high level of customer-focused orientation;
  • You have strength in project management with the ability to manage several demanding clients simultaneously;
  • You are able to understand business goals and recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity and development of HR within our business and our clients’ businesses;
  • You have experience with complex and changing work environments;
  • You are an enthusiastic team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment;
  • You have a strong solution focus and are comfortable working in an environment which demands strong deliverables along with the ability to identify problems and drive appropriate solutions;
  • You have a bias for action, strong work ethic and desire to achieve excellence, and a passion for innovative HR solutions and process improvement;
  • Must be able to interface at all levels of our organization and those of our clients;
  • You are computer literate; proficient in Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite;
  • You have high emotional intelligence (exceptional people skills);
  • You have strong written, verbal communication and facilitation/presentation skills, flexibility, and significant internal drive and desire to be successful.
