The Opportunity

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, your responsibilities include:
Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Assist in elevating newly integrated producers/business partners while ensuring compliance excellence with respect to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Obtain/develop in-depth knowledge resource for Cannabis Regulations and other pertinent regulations.
  • Work with QA Audit team by recommending process improvements, policy and procedure revisions, and corrective actions to address audit findings regarding integration projects.
  • Ensure compliance through comparison of current practice to regulations and established practices of organization.
  • Participate in the development of quality and production process flows for the optimization of product manufacturing in adherence to strict quality standards.
  • Provide guidance to newly integrated companies or business partners with respect to GPP, GDP, and GMP.
  • Produce descriptive and detailed reports, technical documents such as technical data sheets, SOP’s etc.
  • Arrange internal and external meetings; conference calls; coordinate travel arrangements including preparing meeting notes and minutes.
  • Understand and follow all related Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Other related tasks as they relate to the day to day business.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Interest and ability to travel frequently across Canada.
  • 1-3 years previous experience in a Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or Regulatory Affairs role in Food/Food Processing, Pharmaceutical, or Health and Nutritional industry.
  • B.Sc. degree or diploma in an applicable science-related field preferred.
  • Proven ability to foster good working relationships with newly integrated companies or business partners to promote openness and compliance.
  • Competency of technological writing (SOPs) and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel and work with many different people in various environments.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to an evolving environment with changing priorities.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and cultivate strong relationships with other departments.
  • Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently with a strong attention to detail.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary range is up to $60,000-$65,000 per year; promising great benefits and elevated growth potential.
