The Opportunity

An incredible opportunity to work as an integral member of the Western Canadian Training Team for an International Retail chain, the Training and Recruitment Managers are responsible for training new and existing Store Operators and Store Managers. If you are a dedicated professional that is passionate about problem solving and have excellent communication skills, this might just be the right move for you!
Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Responsible for training Store Operators, Corporate Managers and Market Managers using an established schedule and training format, and for testing trainees on progress and evaluating the effectiveness of the training.
  • Assisting the Operations Manager and Market Managers in recruiting and interviewing of new Store Operators and Store Managers.
  • Facilitate all mandated training sessions held during the year according to federal, provincial, and corporate guidelines (Food Safety, Gas Bar Safety and WHMIS).
  • Collaborate with other Trainers to help develop new Corporate Customer Service Strategies and find innovative approaches for continually improving the training curriculum.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A Diploma and/or bachelor’s degree in Business.
  • Retail Knowledge, with marketing experience being an asset.
  • The ability to prioritize and work effectively within stated timeframes and deadlines.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
  • A minimum of 2 years of related experience is preferred.
