The Opportunity

Wonderful opportunity to work for a rapidly growing Human Resources Team!! Our client is looking for a recent HR graduate for a 2-month contract with a likelihood of extension for their very busy team. Duties include onboarding, maintaining data in HR and benefits system, process new hire packages and managing employee files. The position will advise on policies and processes while improving efficiencies. The position will be based out of their downtown Calgary office.
Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Provide guidance and interpretation of HR policies and procedures. Answering HR related employee inquiries providing superior customer service
  • Recommends new approaches, processes and procedures while continually seeking to improve efficiencies in the department and services performed.
  • Create, distribute and process new hire packages
  • Work with Ops Support to ensure new hire packages are submitted accurately and on-time
  • Maintain employee files and HR systems (ADP Workforcenow/ Avanti) with high accuracy
  • Complete employment verifications and unemployment reporting
  • Manage and track paid time off
  • Administer and enroll employee benefits
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned

  • Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Graduate of a post-secondary program in Human Resources Management
  • 2-3 years of related work experience is desired
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications & HR systems (preferably ADP)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Good analytical and organizational skills, as well as demonstrated ability in problem solving and responsiveness to customer needs
  • High energy and ability to multi-task with accuracy and timeliness
  • Ability to interact/collaborate effectively with employees at all levels
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
