The Opportunity


This mid-level position puts you right in the offices of a major Canadian retailer working daily with corporate decision makers to develop informed initiatives. You will provide critical insights from state-of-the-art analytics tools and give next-day feedback on retail behaviors and trends. Our client is growing, and this role offers excellent career development opportunities.


Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Provide excellent client services to internal and external decision makers.
  • Develop in role of trusted insights provider through careful attention to detail.
  • Provide timely and insightful analysis and category management solutions.
  • Use data retrieval techniques, interpret sequentially, build presentations and work with client to execute initiatives, provide feedback and adjustments as requested.
  • Teach client in usage of proprietary software and assist integration into their business activities.
  • Organize and participate in regular category reviews and update client managers.
  • Identify, cultivate and realize revenue opportunities with suppliers

Required Skills and Qualifications


To support the essential roles and responsibilities outlined above, the ideal candidate must possess the following experience and skills:


• 5 years of business experience with an understanding of manufacturer/retailer issues having worked in one or more of the environments below:

  • CPG Retailer (any channel)
  • CPG manufacturer/supplier
  • CPG Brokerage/Distributor
  • CPG Marketing Information Services
  • Undergraduate degree required
  • Good foundation of CPG retailer and product category knowledge
  • Experience in gathering client business needs and aligning them to appropriate services and solutions
  • Experience in identifying the value-proposition to sell new service concepts and provide outstanding customer service Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills, including the ability to convey complex ideas in a simple way and to tailor key messages and presentation style to multiple audiences Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
