Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Account Development, with a focus on EPCs, End User, Contractors, Packagers, and distribution channels
  • Responsible for working with Inside Sales Staff and Head Office partnering with Clients, providing, technical advice, information, support, and quotations, with a focus on relationship and SERVICE Excellence
  • Ongoing client support and service excellence, including warrantee challenges, technical concerns, service issues, etc.
  • Provide technical and product demonstrations and presentations
  • Prepare proposals, review specifications, consult on solutions, and provide information on terms of sales and delivery.
  • Keep apprised of new product introductions and opportunities for current and future sales and markets
  • Report to management on customer relationships, pipeline, forecasts and new prospects
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge about product and service offerings
  • Marketing – work with Head Office to make sure literature and marketing materials are available for customers.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Successful sales experience of a minimum 5 years, selling Electric Motors, Drives and related equipment
  • Direct sales experience with Machines, Automation preferred
  • Post-secondary education in Electrical Engineering or years relevant experience
  • Must have a very strong technical background and comfortable with EPC’s and technical specifications
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Basic computer skills, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Must be independent and able to organize his or her time effectively and not require direct daily management.
  • Superior organizational skills, a self-starter who can work both independently and as part of a Dynamic team
  • Ability to identify issues in a timely manner and contribute to the problem solving of the issues.
  • Positive attitude with excellent people skills and excellent negotiation skills
  • Enjoys working with a wide variety of people
  • Willing to travel
  • Exhibits a sense of urgency to get things done with a positive attitude and client service excellence

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary of $90k-120K based on experience
  • Sales bonus of 10%-30% uncapped
  • Great benefits package, car allowance, RRP matching and more
  • Working from a home office
