The Opportunity

Wanted: An exceptional leader, highly skilled in sales and driven to exceed customer’s expectations.
Reporting to the V.P. of Sales, this DIRECTOR OF SALES, Information Technology will be based in Calgary and responsible for a Western territory composed of branches in Western Canada and extending into the U.S. Providing leadership to a team of outside sales professionals to continue impressive sales growth by empowering them to service existing clients and source new business opportunities.
Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Outline expectations and hard targets re: project cost estimates, plans and budget.
  • Responsible for final review and authorization of quotes and proposals.
  • Liaise with suppliers, service delivery personnel and clients.
  • Establish work-safe culture, maintain compliance with HSE regulations.
  • Give direction and coach outside sales professionals.
  • Instill a culture of continuous improvement, including staff and process reviews.
  • Assign personnel to oversee projects, manage clients.
  • Represent the organization at industry related events.
  • Leads the preparation of project budgets for the purpose of business development.
  • Manage office staff and work programs to align with corporate goals.

  • Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree or Diploma in I.T. or Business Administration strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing sales in the I.T. industry.
  • Experience working with IT partners in a strategic, long term arrangement.
  • Previous experience presenting to C-Suite audiences.
  • Proven ability to deliver sales budgets consistently.
  • Solid financial skills and demonstrated business acumen.
  • Obvious leadership skills.
