The Opportunity

A world leader in Electric Motors, Drives, Industrial Rotating Equipment and Components continues to expand its influence in Manitoba. This concentrated growth strategy has created another fantastic opportunity for an Electric Motor Sales Professional based in Winnipeg covering Manitoba and Southern Saskatchewan. You will have diverse application opportunities across a broad range of industries including, Building Mechanical, HVAC, Oil and Gas, Municipal, Food and Beverage, Pharmaceutical etc. You will have a great time working for a supportive manager, at a progressive company with one of the best product lines available in the market. Key Account Responsibilities and Functions:

  • Build, manage, and enhance relationships with customers in Manitoba and Southern Alberta by:
  • Drive and achieve sales and profit goals
  • Soliciting and developing new opportunities. in your region to drive sales growth, Distribution, OEM and End User-Channel partners
  • Selling Motors and Drives to broad Industrial base, including projects.
  • Ongoing networking and meetings with the influencers and decision makers.
  • Be the educational lead for clients including ‘lunch and learns’, trade shows, and providing supporting technical information.
  • Providing excellence in customer service.
  • Social media strategies, joint and individual on-site sales calls and relationship building activities.
  • Actively communicate with team members, vendors, and suppliers to: Support product selection application and quotes, oversee engineered bid proposals, including follow-up, provide product and package technical support.
  • Develop a business plan, sales forecasts, and support marketing strategies.
  • Working from a home office.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or relevant motor/industrial experience.
  • Demonstrated success of a minimum of 3 years selling electric motors, AC drives, pumps, gearing, conveyor technology, bearings, couplings, drive components, and or other electrical and/or mechanical process equipment sales with a technical knowledge base
  • Demonstrated sales success in Manitoba and Southern Alberta.
  • Strong knowledge of a broad range of applications in HVAC, Manufacturing, Oil and Gas, Mining, Food and Beverage, Municipal and Pharmaceutical industries.
  • Proven ability to be proactive and highly motivated, working with a dynamic team.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills, strong listening and clarification skills.
  • Well-developed ability to make successful sales presentations at all levels of the clients’.
  • Strong business, strategic planning, and account management skills.
  • Focus on excellence in client service.
  • Great negotiation skills.
  • Analytical skills to break down complex issues and solve problems.
  • Driven to succeed, with a positive attitude!
  • Ability to teach and lead others is necessary.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • A base salary of $65,000 – $85,000 per year or more depending on experience.
  • An uncapped bonus that should be an additional 30% or more.
  • Excellent and comprehensive benefit package with RSP matching.
