The Opportunity
Our client is seeking a strong Technical Sales Representative who specialises in Welding and Brazing product lines. This position is based in British Columbia and requires extensive travel throughout B.C. 

Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Provide technical support to the distributors and end users.
  • Advise customers on the choice of welding products & processes adapted to their needs.
  • Provide commercial support to the existing distribution network & devise strategies for expanding it.
  • Devise ways and means to effectively promote the product range in order to develop and augment sales through the distributor network and direct customers.
  • Target potential customers in line with the sales criteria laid out by the company & expand the customer base.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 – 7 years experience in Technical Sales.
  • Post-secondary education in metallurgy / welding is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of maintenance and repair welding is an asset.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all key stakeholders: welders, buyers, maintenance managers & engineers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong ability to develop new customer relationships and maintain existing relationships.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point.
