The Opportunity
Our client is looking to add a Technical Sales Representative to their respected team. You will be responsible for the promotion of valve focused products, covering clients in the territory of Northern Alberta. They are offering a competitive base salary, experience based, and are known for impressive company culture. You will have access to an impressive line and be backed by supportive, empowering managers and a very technical support team. 

Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Prospect and secure new business, while further developing current business.
  • Build lucrative relationships
  • Liaise with product knowledge specialists to offer the best solutions and applications to customers
  • Train clients on products
  • Work with team member to prepare applicable documentation for client, including quotations, bid packages, supporting documentation, and training materials
  • Become a point of contact for technical support for customers
  • Keep up to date records in the CRM system

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in a related field or equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of Valve Sales experience, both actuated and non-actuated
  • Well developed technical knowledge of valve focused products
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, passport, your own means of transportation and the ability to travel up to 40% of the time
  • Working knowledge Microsoft Office Suite, JDE, CRM and ERP systems
  • Must have excellent trouble shooting abilities, especial in the technical support end
  • A self starter, quick learner, and driven
  • Proven ability to work independently within a team environment

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary will be $80, 000 – $100,000 per annum, or more commensurate with experience
  • Plus 25% bonus at target uncapped
