Our Recruitment Process
The standard and thorough processes within our experienced recruitment firm helps to ensure our team finds the best placement options for our clients.
When you are looking for a career change we understand that time takes on a whole new meaning – urgent! Many of our hiring companies work on a similar timeline but hiring does take time from position opening to offer. Timing will depend on:
- How many candidates there are
- Availability for interviews and consultations
- Client’s decision time
- Background checks and employment verification
Overall, you should expect a process of anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks.
If a position you feel qualified to work is posted right now, in real time, please apply to the position as soon as possible.
Recruiters begin searching and evaluating candidates immediately. Your skill set will be evaluated against the required organizational needs and additional criteria such as company culture.
Having a matching skill set does not guarantee there is an organizational fit for you or the hiring company. If everything aligns, then the process begins with interviewing, long-listing, and short-listing.
The process can move quickly so don’t hesitate to apply if you see a position that’s right for you!
If a position does not exist for your skill set or you are just keeping an eye on the market, make sure you connect with one of our Recruitment Consultants so we have your skills and resume on file.
Secondly, keep watching for the placement that you believe can be a fit. Recruiters will search for candidates when filling a position, but it is always better to put your own name in the hat and ensure you are included from the get-go.
If you see a position that seems right for you, we want to hear from you!
When engaged in a new career search, it can be frustrating not knowing what is available in a timely manner or having to search the same sites daily to see what is out there. Social Media can make keeping in touch with Executrade easy!
Can Executrade help me find temporary employment?
Yes! Since 1974, Executrade’s goal has been to offer temporary candidates interesting and enjoyable assignments with some of Canada’s greatest companies.
Temp work or “gig work” is when you take on work as short-term, temporary or independent contractor. This means that you are essentially on call for any open opportunities Executrade has that fits your skill sets. You may end up working for multiple and different organizations, but Executrade is your actual employer.
There is a wide range of reasons candidates decide to take on temporary vs. permanent work, including:
- Filling a gap on your resume
- Having flexibility
- Gaining experience in your field
- Building your network
- Staying active and positive if you are between career roles
- Boosting your skillset on your resume
- Testing your knowledge and learning new skills
Expectations of Executrade Temporary Candidates
- Unless you call us to tell us otherwise, we will assume that you are always available for work.
- Communication is key, but if you don’t hear from us, it is only because we have no suitable employment available to discuss with you at this time.
If we have assignments for which you may be qualified, we will call you to discuss the position, requirements, duration, dress code, pay rate and any other relevant information to ensure you are prepared.
If you agree to accept the assignment, you will be expected to stay for the duration of the job. However, if you are unable to complete the assignment, we request one week’s notice prior to leaving the assignment.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding your assignments or your pay, please contact us directly so that we may assist you.
